Merchandise Planner (Retail) | Sports Industry | Sandton
We are looking for a Retail Merchandise Planner who understands trading, not just theory. This role sits at the heart of a fast-moving sports retail business, driving performance across apparel and footwear.
Non negotiables:
- 3+ years Retail Merchandise Planning experience.
- Strong background in Clothing, Footwear, or Accessories.
- Must understand the nuances of seasonal product planning, size curves, replenishment, and promotions.
- Advanced Excel and strong data analysis ability.
- Proven forecasting and stock planning experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Drive sales, stock, and OTB planning across key categories.
- Analyse performance (Sales, GP, GMROI, Forward Cover) and take corrective action.
- Work closely with Buyers, stores, and suppliers.
- Lead planning meetings and influence decisions through data.
- Manage the full planning cycle across apparel and footwear.
