We are partnering with a premium luxury fashion brand seeking an experienced and commercially driven Merchandise Planner to join its Women's division based in Paris.

This opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in driving commercial performance through forecasting, inventory planning, and stock optimisation while working closely with Merchandising, Retail, and Finance teams.

The Role

As a Merchandise Planner, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial success of the Women's business by managing inventory, forecasting demand, analysing performance, and ensuring optimal stock availability across the business.

Working cross-functionally with Merchandising, Retail, and Finance, you will contribute to strategic planning decisions that maximise sales opportunities and improve stock efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandise Planning & Forecasting

  • Develop and manage sales forecasts and inventory plans
  • Support Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning and budget management
  • Monitor sell-through performance and recommend commercial actions
  • Analyse trading performance to optimise stock allocation and availability

Inventory Management

  • Maintain healthy inventory levels across product categories
  • Identify opportunities to improve stock productivity and minimise markdown risk
  • Support replenishment strategies and stock optimisation initiatives
  • Produce regular reporting and performance analysis

Commercial Performance

  • Work closely with Merchandising, Retail, and Finance teams to support business objectives
  • Monitor KPIs and provide insights to improve trading performance
  • Assist with seasonal planning and range reviews
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making through detailed commercial analysis

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships across Planning, Merchandising, Retail, and Finance
  • Support business planning meetings and commercial reviews
  • Ensure planning processes are aligned across departments
  • Contribute to continuous improvements within merchandise planning processes

Profile

  • Previous experience as a Merchandise Planner, Merchandising Planner, Merchandise Planning Analyst, Merchandise Planning Specialist, Merchandise Coordinator, Merchandising Coordinator, or Merchandise Allocator
  • Experience within premium or luxury fashion or footwear brands is essential
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, inventory planning, and commercial reporting
  • Experience managing Open-to-Buy (OTB), sell-through analysis, and stock optimisation
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
  • Fluent English required; French is advantageous
