Your challenge
To support our team, we are seeking an operational Merchandise & Stock Allocation Controller.
Reporting to the Allocation & Analytics Manager, you will join a team of 6 people and hold a central role within the purchasing division. Your mission is to directly contribute to the optimal management of stock levels in all stores, both in quantitative numbers and in the various qualitative aspects of the collection, ensuring that sales and margin targets are achieved.
As a Stock Allocation Controller, your responsibilities will include:
1. Operational Stock Allocation & Flow Management
- Managing the flow of goods to and from our stores & ecom. In this way, you will ensure that the right products arrive at the right place, at the right time. To achieve this, you will need:
- daily monitoring of deliveries
- general understanding of our collection & commercial instinct / interest in fashion
- insight into our commercial calendar, visual merchandising requirements, and commercial actions
- monitor store allocation by store typology
- Optimizing stock levels by prioritizing bestsellers and redistributing slower-moving items.
- Critically evaluating work methods and making recommendations to improve efficiency.
- Conduct regular store visits to support operations, merchandising, and stock management.
2. Reporting & Process Execution
- Drafting sales and inventory reports for use in weekly commercial review meetings.
- Analysing data to provide recommendations for allocation improvements.
- Maintaining standard procedures while seeking ways to boost operational efficiency.
3. Store Support & Administrative Follow-up
- Be a store contact person for all ad hoc questions (prices, partial inventory, stocks issues.)
- Playing a key role in providing administrative support for commercial decisions regarding pricing, quality control, transfers, inventories, etc.
Your profile:
- You have a passion for fashion and enjoy working in a fashion environment.
- You have experience working in a retail environment. Experience in stock allocation or management is a plus.
- Languages: You are fluent in both English and French. A conversational level of Dutch is required for effective store communication.
- You are proficient in Excel (an absolute requirement).
- You have an analytical mindset and enjoy linking numbers to products.
- You are flexible, familiar with working to deadlines.
- You have a critical mindset, are eager to learn, and eager to improve.
- Commercial targets are a challenge you are excited to pursue.
- You have a high sense of responsibility and can work independently.
