Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Merchandiser who will be responsible for driving business growth while managing end-to-end merchandising operations in the apparel segment. The role includes vendor sourcing, fabric procurement, cost estimation, coordination with production teams, and ensuring timely execution of collections in line with brand standards.
The candidate should have strong market knowledge, vendor networking capability, and a clear understanding of costing and product development in the apparel industry.
Primary Role & Responsibilities (Main Focus)
- Drive business growth in the apparel segment.
- Identify new market opportunities and increase revenue.
- Source fabrics and develop new vendors (printing, trims, embroidery, packaging, etc.).
- Prepare detailed line-item costing for all product categories (Shoes, T-Shirts, Hoddies, Joggers etc.).
- Ensure target margins are maintained across all products.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and delivery timelines with vendors.
- Coordinate with design and production teams for timely execution
Required Skills
- 3–6 years of experience in Merchandising.
- Strong understanding of fabric sourcing and garment production processes.
- Hands-on experience in product costing and margin calculation.
- Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
Preferred (Optional) Skills
- Experience in fashion brands, startups, or D2C businesses.
- Knowledge of retail and consumer market trends.
- Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile, Apparel Production, or Business Management
