WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join our team and play a pivotal role in growing our brand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for menswear, strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for market trends. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic merchandising plans that optimise product assortment, maximise sales, and enhance the overall brand experience. The candidate must have a hands-on approach with a self-starter attitude. The role will be based at our design office in Islington, with opportunity for home working.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Range Planning:Work closely with the design, product and sales teams to develop seasonal product assortments that align with brand vision, target market, and sales objectives.
Market analysis:Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape within the menswear fashion industry.
Demand Forecasting:Utilise historical sales data, market trends, and seasonal factors to forecast demand for new and existing product lines, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimising stockouts.
Inventory Management:Monitor inventory levels, product performance, and sell-through rates to identify opportunities for markdowns, replenishment, and inventory optimisation.
Allocations:Work closely with sales, production and warehouse teams to ensure our stores receive accurate and timely stock deliveries on a weekly basis.
Pricing Strategy:Collaborate with sales and finance teams to develop pricing strategies that maximise profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
Sales Analysis:Analyse sales performance by product category, style, and SKU to identify opportunities for growth, product refinement, and assortment optimisation.
Seasonal Planning:Develop comprehensive seasonal merchandising plans encompassing product assortment, pricing, promotional strategy, and inventory management to drive sales and maximise profitability.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience in merchandising roles in fashion industry.
Passion for menswear with a keen understanding of current trends and consumer preferences.
Strong analytical skills with high level of proficiency in excel.
Experience of using stock management systems.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
Hands on approach and self-starter attitude.
BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience of using Shopify and/or Cin7.
Logistics/network planning.
International pricing/merchandising.
