We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Merchandiser to join our team, focusing on our Junior line, which includes sets, dresses, tops, and bottoms in Cut & Sew, Woven, and Sweaters.
This role involves bringing designs from concept to completion and requires expertise in junior fashion trends and translating them into compelling designs.
The ideal candidate will excel in coordinating between sales and design, managing client relationships, and developing effective sales strategies to attract new clients and expand existing accounts.
Knowledge of the Junior Market is essential.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Identify upcoming trends and create innovative concepts for Juniors’ apparel.
Collaborate with design leaders to coordinate the design process from concept to execution, overseeing project quality within the area of expertise.
Oversee initial graphics, prints, and color direction across all brands.
Develop seasonal and line plans to drive business, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
Manage seasonal assortment planning, line development, and merchandise selection.
Adhere to a design schedule that aligns with the development calendar.
Work with Design, Art, Sales, Costing, and Production teams to complete projects on time.
Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
Create efficient processes and systems within the department to optimize team talent.
Manage the approval process for fabrics, trims, and product categories in collaboration with production.
Understand Junior market fabrications in knits, wovens, and sweaters.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in merchandising or as a design merchandiser.
Detail-oriented with a strong eye for trends.
Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
