Job Purpose

To deliver the business plan in alignment with the Company’s strategy for the product range, leveraging the strengths and support of the Merchandising team, while coaching and leading the team to achieve success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Womenswear merchandising team by inspiring, motivating, coaching, and developing team members, while driving the growth of Womenswear and Shoes categories in Korea.
  • Manage seasonal OTB in partnership with the Planning team, leveraging historical sales analysis and sales targets to support collection buying.
  • Lead and participate in seasonal collection buying sessions (4 times per year), selecting and assorting products by store based on each store’s profile.
  • Analyze sales performance and KPI reports on a regular basis, and recommend actionable strategies to drive business performance.
  • Execute seasonal collections successfully by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Retail, Visual Merchandising, APAC Merchandising, Marketing, Training, Regional Planning, and Supply Chain, while influencing key business decisions aligned with category strategy.
  • Develop category strategies for upcoming seasons and fiscal years based on local market insights and new product initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage seasonal and fashion product performance to achieve target sell-through rates.
  • Partner with the Training team to strengthen product knowledge and styling capabilities across the category.
  • Conduct regular store visits to deepen understanding of customer profiles and business opportunities.
  • Build strong partnerships with the Corporate Merchandising team by providing feedback on market trends, product performance, and local market needs.
  • Plan and continuously update store profiles in alignment with market business strategy and product strategy.
  • Prepare and analyze ad-hoc business reports to identify key business drivers and potential risks.
  • Conduct competitor pricing surveys and proactively collaborate with corporate merchandising teams to strengthen category price competitiveness in the local market.

Personal Profile

  • Minimum 8 years of solid merchandising experience, preferably within Womenswear
  • Previous experience in the luxury fashion industry is preferred
  • Fluent in English with strong Excel proficiency and effective communication skills
  • Strong passion for products and fashion trends
  • Highly commercial with strong business acumen
  • Excellent analytical and retail math skills
  • Proven leadership and people management capabilities
