Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic Merchandising people to manage end-to-end merchandising strategy for home or fashion or kids or sports categories. This role demands a strong mix of strategic vision, leadership, and market insight to curate and deliver products that meet evolving customer needs. Your expertise in product selection, market trends, and supplier relationships will help drive both short-term sales and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchandise Strategy and Category Leadership
- Lead the planning, selection, and buying of merchandise, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer preferences.
- Establish a structured and data-driven approach to merchandising, ensuring informed decision-making across all categories.
Trend Analysis, Forecasting, and Market Insights
- Leverage data, market intelligence, and consumer trends to forecast demand and uncover growth opportunities across categories.
- Transform insights into actionable strategies that align with business objectives, driving both short-term sales and long-term category growth.
Sales, Inventory, and Assortment Optimization
- Develop and manage comprehensive sales, stock, and assortment plans, ensuring a balanced mix tailored to store formats, locations, and customer needs.
- Monitor category performance, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize sales, margins, and inventory turnover.
Supplier Partnerships and Product Development
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and high-quality product offerings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, and product development) to create exclusive, differentiated assortments that resonate with customers.
Strategic Reporting and Leadership Influence
- Regularly prepare and present merchandising strategies, category performance updates, and forward-looking plans to senior leadership.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for category adjustments, new initiatives, and future growth areas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 5 to 20 years of experience in merchandising or product management.
- Proficiency in merchandising software and tools, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of building strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
