Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead our Smart Taximeter Project in Bahrain. This role involves managing the implementation and rollout of advanced taximeter systems designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of taxi services in the region. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle from planning and development to deployment and evaluation, ensuring that the project meets all technical specifications, budget constraints, and timeline requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead the planning and implementation of the Smart Taximeter Project in Bahrain.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 3 years of direct work experience in project management, including all aspects of process development and execution.
Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Basecamp, or equivalent.
Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, particularly those that pertain to smart transportation solutions.
Able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred due to the regional focus).
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
To be resident in the Kingdom of Bahrain (Bahrain citizens are preferred).
Desired Skills
PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Experience working in the GCC region, particularly in Bahrain.
Knowledge of the taxi service industry and related technology solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box for solutions.
