The Role:

ROVR is looking for a Music Program, Operations & Licensing Coordinator to join our team – someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity and infrastructure. The role combines operations, data-driven decision-making, and musical program scheduling. You will be instrumental in programming our broadcasts, managing our in-app magazine, and driving the narrative of our podcast series, ensuring our content remains authentic, surprising, and expertly curated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handles the high-level programming and scheduling of ROVR’s radio broadcasts, ensuring a seamless and engaging listener experience.
  • Manage and edit the broader musical content ecosystem, including ROVR's in-app music magazine and exclusive podcast series.
  • Coordinate and manage the ongoing work of the music magazine, including direct collaboration with internal and external writers.
  • Manage platform content, perform daily administrative workflows, and edit metadata – including genre tags and musical energies – to ensure accurate and engaging discovery via our Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Conduct rigorous quality control on all musical content across the platform.
  • Work on an ongoing basis with the Curation team to ensure a cohesive musical narrative.
  • Collaborate with our global network of tastemakers to extract and highlight the best stories and sounds in music today.
  • Who You Are (Requirements):

    • Experience with large-scale content/catalogue management.
    • Strong understanding of music discovery ecosystems.
    • Experience developing long-term content, programming, and growth strategies.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of identifying opportunities, launching new initiatives, and driving them from concept to execution.
    • Deep understanding of ROVR, its audience, and philosophies.
    • Vast knowledge of alternative music, genres, music discover, and cutting-edge audiences
    • Excellent judgment, communication, and organisational skills.
    • Ability to thrive in fast-moving, evolving environments.
    • Familiarity with music metadata and CMS platforms.
    • Broad musical knowledge across genres, scenes, geographies, and eras.
    • High technical proficiency, paired with strong diligence, an excellent work ethic, and high motivation.
    • Native-level English proficiency (both written and verbal) is strictly required.
    • An impeccable ear for quality and a true passion for music storytelling
    • Previous experience managing music content at a prominent radio station, a large music institution, or an extensive background in A&R is a significant advantage.
