Job Responsibilities:
- Support the procurement of various Trims items as per organizational needs (Labels, Hangtags, Zippers, Buttons, Sewing Thread, Elastic, Ribbons, Packaging Accessories etc.).
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect and understand specifications and timelines.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
- Liaise with vendors for quotations, negotiation, and order confirmations.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain procurement trackers, documentation, and reports.
- Coordinate with the commercial, logistics, and inventory teams for order processing and delivery follow-up.
- Assist in resolving procurement-related issues including delays, quality concerns, or policy compliance.
- Participate in vendor development and market research activities.
- Identify annual cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor MOQ and inventory levels to reduce excess stock.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
- Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Supply Chain/Operations Management/Textile or a related discipline) from any reputed University.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in procurement or sourcing of trims items.
- Experience in the textile or fashion industry will be considered an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge regarding local & international procurement procedures, vendor sourcing and development from international markets.
- Comprehensive understanding of import operations, L/C management, commercial processes, and customs clearance.
- Excellent negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising with C&F agents and freight forwarders.
