About the Team:
The Data Science job family at Flipkart includes a collection of highly talented employees with deep expertise in advanced data and model based approaches to problem solving, including statistical modeling, ML / DL and optimization. A Data Scientist at Flipkart works closely with Business, Product and Engineering teams to develop and implement solutions based on the above approaches for various projects on the tech roadmap. To succeed, the responsible person should be able to communicate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders representing various teams to better understand the problem at hand. At a fundamental level, the responsible person should be able to dive deep into a problem statement and extract interesting insights as well as solutions. In addition to being a quick learner, a DS is expected to get involved in active research projects with a view to publish them.
This particular role is associated with the data science team that is developing solutions for the supply chain part of our business.

You are responsible for:
Understand Business and product needs and apply Operations Research and optimization techniques as appropriate to provide solutions to those in a time bound fashion.
Communicate and collaborate with business and product teams to identify, define and refine project opportunities, and to drive progress on projects within the data science team.
Get involved in in-depth exploration of solutions that are to be shared with business and product teams; specifically, build models and scalable custom algorithms for problems including decision optimization and predictive modelling.
Actively participate in working with new methods and learning new technologies, in areas including data science and data engineering.
You should have:
