Operations & E-Commerce Manager Jobs in New York, NY at Siegelman Stable

Title: Operations & E-Commerce Manager

Company: Siegelman Stable

Location: New York, NY

About the Job

Siegelman Stable is seeking an experienced Operations & E-Commerce Manager to own the day-to-day operational backbone of our growing brand. We're looking for someone who has already run the systems behind a modern e-commerce business and can step in to manage them independently from day one.

This person wears a lot of hats. It's a startup, so no task is too big or too small. This role is ideal for someone who loves working in a creative startup environment, is passionate about fashion and sports, and wants to help shape how a growing brand operates. The right person is exceptionally organized, deeply analytical, and genuinely fluent in the tools that keep an online retail operation running: Shopify, Excel, and warehouse/fulfillment systems. You're the kind of person who builds the spreadsheet instead of asking for one, flags a needed restock before we run out, and gets satisfaction from a clean, well-documented system. You'll work directly with the founder and own e-commerce, inventory, and fulfillment operations end to end.

What You'll Own

E-Commerce & Site Management

  • Manage and optimize the Shopify store end to end: product uploads, collections, descriptions, metafields, and storefront troubleshooting
  • Plan and execute online launches and product drops, including back-in-stock and pre-order workflows
  • Monitor site performance and resolve technical issues independently or by coordinating the right resources

Reporting & Analysis

  • Build and deliver detailed, recurring reports on customer behavior, sales trends, and site performance
  • Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for the team
  • Proactively monitor inventory and flag restocks before items sell out — owning the timing and the communication

Inventory & Operations

  • Own inventory management and reconciliation across Shopify and warehouse/fulfillment systems
  • Build and maintain inventory forecasting and restock planning — primarily in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and clean data structures expected)
  • Manage SKU architecture, product data integrity, and systems documentation
  • Oversee fulfillment partner relationships to ensure orders, returns, and exchanges are accurate and on time

Logistics & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including international freight and customs when needed
  • Manage vendor, warehouse, and 3PL relationships
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase operational efficiency

Customer & Brand Experience

  • Oversee customer service standards across email and social, resolving escalations professionally
  • Maintain a premium, consistent brand experience across every customer touchpoint

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of hands-on e-commerce or retail operations experience, ideally in a growing brand where you wore multiple hats
  • Advanced Excel skills — this is non-negotiable; you should be comfortable building forecasts, reconciliations, and reporting without hand-holding
  • Deep, demonstrated Shopify experience (not just familiarity — actual day-to-day management)
  • Direct experience with warehouse/fulfillment systems and inventory reconciliation
  • Comfort pulling and interpreting data to report on customer behavior and trends
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail; you catch errors others miss
  • Strong, professional written communication
  • A genuine passion for fashion and sports, and excitement about our brand
  • A self-starter who's happy to wear a lot of hats and thrives in a fast-moving, creative startup environment where priorities shift
  • Experience with 3PLs, customs/freight, and marketing/analytics tools
