About the job
Make an impact utilising your exceptional Operation and Logistics coordination skills. You will be responsible for taking on a variety of tasks which allow for the successful completion of both daily and strategic planning, including the flow of goods whilst working with third party warehouse and local transport service providers to enhance supply chain efficiencies whilst ensuring effective execution of logistic strategies.
Manage daily logistics activities including scheduling, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and conducting regular warehouse visits to ensure efficient process flows.
Oversee operational activities and relationships with third-party logistics providers, ensuring contractual compliance, optimal operational performance, and effective problem resolution.
Execute and refine logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Proactively identify and resolve operational issues and implement necessary improvements.
Assist in developing strategic logistics plans and take a proactive role in their operational execution to meet organizational goals. Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal regulations.
Assist with the annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) review and lead negotiations to secure competitive rates with all logistics service providers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial objectives.
Conduct third-party warehouse performance reviews and confirm the accuracy of billing to maintain financial control and ensure service levels meet contractual agreements.
Skills and Experience
Extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within the retail or wholesale sector, with hands-on experience in operational logistics.
Proficient in ERP systems such as Navision and SAP, with strong analytical skills to manage complex logistics data.
Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, capable of managing detailed logistics tasks and large-scale process improvements.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments to integrate logistics operations with broader business objectives.
Demonstrated strong time management and organisational skills
Solution-focused with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
