As one of Australia’s leading and most respected fashion designer brands, we are excited to share that ZIMMERMANN has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Packaging Development Manager to join our robust Retail Operations Team based in Rosebery.
Reporting to the Global Retail Support Manager, this role will collaborate closely with Retail Operations, Ecommerce, Logistics, Brand & Content, Sustainability, and Merchandising teams. This role will be pivotal in delivering exceptional client experiences through packaging solutions for Retail, Digital and Wholesale, as well as seasonal initiatives, VIP gifting, brand activations, and new product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the development and execution of B2C packaging strategies.
Manage the design, production, and stock coverage of packaging across markets.
Drive innovation in packaging materials and solutions, supporting sustainability goals.
Develop new packaging lines to support product category launches and brand initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align packaging with retail, ecommerce, and brand initiatives.
Manage supplier relationships, cost negotiations, and quality control processes.
Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with local legislation.
Analyse market trends and client feedback to drive continuous packaging innovation.
Prepare and manage the packaging budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
Develop and track yearly packaging forecasts, with a focus on peak trade periods.
Oversee critical path management to ensure timely packaging deliveries.
Monitor stock levels across warehouses, stores, and online platforms to prevent shortages.
Skills & Experience:
Experience in Packaging Development within retail.
Strong project management skills
Knowledge of sustainable packaging trends and materials
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Ability to effectively manage budgets and forecasts.
Computer literacy – Microsoft Office (particularly Excel & pivots)
Has a strong work ethic and can work independently and in a fast-paced team.
Is highly organized and can work to strict and often conflicting deadlines.
Attention to detail and a willingness to learn and contribute to a high performing team.
