We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to rent a furnished space at an established senior living community. We have 163 apartments for you to build a client list and we will help you do that. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair styling and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for creating stylish and flattering looks for clients while ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the salon. You must hold your own business license and meet all regulations mandated by the goldbook.
Responsibilities
Provide hair cutting, coloring, and styling services to clients based on their preferences and hair types.
Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate hair care services and products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon, including front desk operations.
Manage retail sales of hair care products, utilizing retail math skills to assist with inventory management.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hairstyling, techniques, and products to enhance client offerings.
Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication and personalized service.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive work environment.
Skills
Proficient in hair styling techniques, including cutting, coloring, and treatments.
Knowledge of cosmetology principles and practices.
Experience in barbering is a plus.
Strong retail sales skills with an understanding of retail math.
Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
Experience in store management or front desk operations is advantageous.
