Part-Time Retail Apparel Customer Service & Merchandising Specialist Jobs in Westport at Country Woolens Inc
Schedule: 1-3 days/week year-round (7.5 hours minimum – 15 hours maximum) additional seasonally as needed; in store 9:30-5. These hours are not flexible.
Start Date: May 2026 (Date TBD). This is not a seasonal position. Please only apply if you are available to continue working year-round.
Overview:
At our store, we have a hard-working workplace ethic with a comfortable environment. We are a small cohesive TEAM and we are looking for someone that will be an enthusiastic part-time addition. With 49 years under our belt we plan to continue our steady growth with focus on the customer experience and quality product. The candidate’s focus will be on the store’s customer service, store organization and appeal and help organizing inventory transition season to season. They will also become knowledgeable about our product line and POS system processes.
Job Duties:
- Politely greet and assist customers in any way needed including finding product, checkout, and gift wrapping.
- Unpack deliveries, restock supplies and product, organize, fold, and re-merchandise displays to keep them fresh and attractive.
- Cleaning duties may include sanitizing surfaces, vacuuming and dusting, taking out the trash and signage.

- At least 3 years retail or customer-facing job experience in a small setting with a POS system
- MUST be a team player and comfortable carrying on conversation with strangers.
- Extreme attention to detail and the desire to go above and beyond is of utmost importance. We recognize this is not always a learned skill but an innate one. The ability to pick up on what needs to be done to help the team is critical.
- Polite, self-starter and can-do attitude with initiative to perform described job duties without much instruction
- Ability to be on your feet for 8 hours at a time and lift 30+lbs.
