Job Description

Job Title: People Relations Specialist

Department: Human Resources

Role Purpose:

The People Relations Executive is responsible for fostering a fair, engaging, and compliant workplace that aligns employees with organizational goals. This role manages employee relations cases, lifecycle processes and attendance governance while maintaining accurate records and clear communication. The position requires strong knowledge of UAE labor law, confident case handling (including disciplinary matters), and disciplined use of HR systems to lift employee experience and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations & Case Management

  • Handle workplace concerns, advise on entitlements and standards, and manage disciplinary matters with documented due process.
  • Coach managers on fair, consistent application of policies; escalate risk cases appropriately.
  • Ensure timely, respectful resolution and clear communication to all parties.

Onboarding, Offboarding & Lifecycle

  • Coordinate probation reviews, evaluations, transfers, promotions, and terminations with complete documentation.
  • Oversee end-to-end onboarding/offboarding formalities and employee file accuracy.
  • Tailor actions to the human context while meeting policy and timeline requirements.

Time & Attendance and Workforce Data

  • Verify and approve timekeeping/attendance; ensure data integrity in Oracle and related systems.
  • Maintain records on hires, transfers, appraisals, absenteeism, and other people’s metrics.
  • Produce concise statistical reports and insights to inform decisions.

Policy, Compliance & Labor Law

  • Apply KSA labor law across daily transactions; keep practices audit-ready.
  • Review and update HR templates and procedures; ensure consistent policy adoption.
  • Prepare for audits/inspections and close any compliance gaps quickly.

Performance, Engagement & Enablement

  • Support managers with feedback quality, probation/assessment processes, and development actions.
  • Implement small changes that improve employee experience, job knowledge, and workflow efficiency.

Partner with HR colleagues to drive people-centric initiatives that boost retention and performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • 2+ years of HR administration/people operations experience in large-staff environments; retail preferred.
  • Proven exposure to Attendance Management and strong HRIS discipline.
  • Hands-on experience managing disciplinary issues and employee relations cases.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication across levels.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; able to turn data into clear actions.
  • Relationship-building strength with peers and stakeholders; high discretion and integrity.
  • Solid familiarity with UAE labor law and its application to daily HR operations.
