Duties
- Provide personalized styling consultations to clients, understanding their preferences, lifestyles, and fashion goals
- Assist customers in selecting clothing, accessories, and beauty products that complement their individual style
- Stay current with the latest fashion trends, color theory, and styling techniques to offer fresh advice
- Operate salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management
- Promote retail sales by upselling products like hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care items, makeup, and hair styling tools
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring sanitation standards are met for all beauty services including hair threading and nail care
- Mentor new team members on customer service excellence, product knowledge, and store procedures
- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, and handling inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm
Qualifications
- Proven experience or strong interest in cosmetology, barbering, or fashion styling; certifications in cosmetology or barbering are a plus
- Knowledge of hair extensions, eyelash extensions, hair threading, makeup application, and nail care techniques
- Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and client records
- Excellent communication skills to connect confidently with diverse clientele
- Ability to perform hair styling using tools like straight razors while maintaining high sanitation standards
- Strong retail math skills to assist with upselling and inventory management
- Experience in store management or retail sales is advantageous but not required; a proactive attitude is essential
- Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently at the front desk while delivering outstanding customer service
