We is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic PR Assistant to join the team to assist with the communications project for our clients during Expo 2025 Osaka.
Key Responsibilities include:
Maintain close contact with all relevant press (traditional and digital, across various sectors: news, broadcast, business, lifestyle, travel, art, fashon, etc) to maximize exposure and opportunities for our client pavilions
Respond to incoming media requests / inquiries
Support and manage the creation of bilingual (English and Japanese) press materials, including pitch letters, press releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, speeches, newsletters and/or other marketing collaterals
Develop, pitch and place positive stories about the client across a broad range of media, including consumer, business and trade
Support the PR Manager in arranging and coordinating media activities, such as media visits to the Pavilion, interviews, press conferences, roundtables, FAM trips, etc
Prepare monthly press coverage analysis and clipping reports for assigned accounts
Support the team on day-to-day management of ongoing projects and major accounts
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in PR and media relations, experience working on international projects, organisations, or conferences is a plus
Strong media relations skills and an established network of media contacts in Japan (preferably in the Kansai region and/or Tokyo) is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English is required
Response well under pressure and in a fast pace environment
Excellent time management skills, deadline-oriented
