Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Pre-Owned Watches Buying Assistant role based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The Buying Assistant will support the purchasing team in sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring pre-owned luxury watches from suppliers and individual sellers. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with pricing assessments, preparing and processing purchase orders, maintaining accurate purchasing records, and ensuring timely communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders. The role also involves monitoring inventory levels, updating product details, and supporting quality checks to ensure authenticity and condition standards are met. The successful candidate will work closely with the buying team to optimise purchasing decisions and contribute to a smooth, efficient buying process.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Purchasing Processes and Purchasing, with an understanding of end-to-end buying workflows.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Purchase Orders, including creating, tracking, and reconciling orders accurately.
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to assess pricing, market trends, and product value.
  • Candidates should possess solid Communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers, colleagues, and clients.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation, watch specifications, and authenticity checks.
  • Interest in or knowledge of luxury watches and jewellery markets is highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency with basic office software and data entry; experience with inventory or purchasing systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Newcastle Upon Tyne, manage time effectively, and collaborate within a small, specialised team.
