Role Description:

Sagebrook is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Product Assistant to support our growing product team in the development, launch and management of our home décor wholesale line. This role is ideal for someone passionate about interior trends and eager to learn the end-to-end development process in a fast-paced wholesale environment. This role is a launching pad for a career in product management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare design and trend presentations for customers and overseas agents
  • Assist with direct import programs for major accounts
  • Conduct competitor analysis and identify market trends
  • Assist with product sample management and tracking
  • Coordinate with overseas vendors to gather product quotes, sample tracking, and special-order information
  • Collaborate with marketing and warehouse teams to ensure on-time shipments and unpacking of all samples
  • Track product developments with overseas factories
  • Communicate updates and timelines to internal teams

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in home goods- product development or buying
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong background experience in sales and client relationship management
  • Solid grasp of retail math
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Competent problem-solving skills and ability to create solutions that meet business and design goals
  • Innovative doer with strong sense of urgency
  • Proficient in excel is a must
  • Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator efficiency preferred
  • 4-year degree preferred or prior purchasing agent experience

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
