AT A GLANCE
The Product Associate owns the operational and coordination backbone of product development, ensuring that product ideas move efficiently from concept to launch. The role supports product innovation, specification development, and cross-functional execution to ensure timely, accurate, and market-ready product releases aligned with brand direction.
YOUR OVERALL MISSION & DAY-TO-DAY
Product Concept and Innovation
- Generate and develop product ideas grounded in consumer insights, market trends, and brand direction.
- Conduct research and trend monitoring across competitors, categories, and brands to identify emerging product opportunities and consumer preferences
- Track product innovation and launches to build strong market intuition and support product direction decisions
- Own product and color naming, ensuring alignment with brand voice, naming conventions, and overall product strategy
- Maintain and update the product name tracker as the single source of truth for all active, pipeline, and approved product names
- Own and maintain the annual Product Calendar, ensuring accurate tracking of product launches, updates, and timeline adjustments
Product Design and Specifications
- Translate product concepts into clear technical requirements, specifications, and production-ready documentation.
- Own the development and scheduling of core product refreshes, including seasonal or periodic introduction of new colorways
- Initiate and create Job Orders (JOs) for each product development, ensuring complete and accurate input of key details such as target launch dates and specifications
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders (Product, Merchandising, SSD, VM, etc.) to complete required sections of each JO
- Ensure product specifications are complete, accurate, and aligned with approved concepts prior to execution
Testing and Market Readiness
- Ensure all products meet quality, compliance, and readiness standards prior to launch.
- Conduct final packaging reviews to ensure accuracy of copy, claims, labels, and design alignment with approved specifications
- Coordinate product testing requirements, including claims validation, labeling, safety warnings, and compliance standards
- Work closely with testing and quality teams to ensure all required documentation and approvals are completed prior to production
- Support readiness checks to ensure products are fully prepared for market launch
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Ensure seamless execution by aligning stakeholders and driving timely completion of product development milestones.
- Initiate and facilitate Product Feasibility Checks with relevant teams before development begins
- Validate product feasibility in terms of assortment fit, timeline viability, and target SRP alignment with cost assumptions
- Coordinate copy requirements by briefing copywriters through Job Orders with clear product context and messaging direction
- Coordinate creative requirements by briefing graphic designers on product details and required visual outputs via Job Orders
- Ensure timely follow-through and alignment across all cross-functional contributors to keep product development on track
YOUR TALENT
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or any related field
- Open to fresh graduates with relevant internship experience in product development, merchandising, fashion design, retail or related fields
- Strong interest in consumer products, fashion, retail, or lifestyle brands
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail, especially in documentation, specifications, and coordination tasks
- Strong organizational and coordination skills; able to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously
