Textile and Pet company looking for Product Development Assistant for Pet division but is textile related..
Assist in the design and creation of textile products for Pet, Chair pads, Comfort items and Throws, from initial concept through approval
Issue development packs to vendors for lab dips, strike offs and sample requests. Follow up with vendors for on time delivery of same.
Support the development process through daily communication with vendors and factories
Execute color correction and communication throughout the sample process, ensuring color accuracy, scale,and detail that meets company standards
Maintain spec sheets(Tech Packs) and Fabric Matching Charts
Maintain and organize showroom and samples
Manage sample requests for customers
Coordinate sample and product presentations
Coordinate with other departments in the development process
Attend and participate in meetings with internal departments, sales, production and design
Attend customer meetings to understand their needs and product aesthetic
Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast paced environment
This role requires being onsite in the NY office (5 days a week).
Salary $80,000 – $85,000
