We are looking for Product Developer to manage recipe development and generate draft formulations and documentation.
Responsibilities:
Taste, observe, and smell ingredients and finished samples to ensure that characteristics of flavor, color, taste, etc. meet specifications, or to select samples with specific characteristics.
Lead with the standardized testing of new product prototypes to verify product reliability.
Generates spreadsheets and documents as needed for R&D documentation.
Notifies the manager of all unusual occurrences encountered during the performance of assigned duties.
Monitor experiments, makes observations, calculates and records results, and often develops conclusions in order to capture data and information.
Develop formulation package with technical specifications and manufacturing process.
Analysis on both ingredients, intermediate blends and finished application sensorial and setting qualitative technical parameters for consistency in formulations
Lead in the presentation of prototypes, to R&D and internal stake holders
Responsible for care of a broad variety of materials and experimental products
Lead in conducting production trials and report generation
Produce samples for consumer research or shelf life test
Appropriately package and ship ready samples in order to ensure proper and complete delivery of products.
Track the development, shipping and response status for all samples in order to inform all concerned parties
Manage calibrations and maintenance of laboratory instruments in order to maintain its operability
Lead in maintenance and servicing of the pilot plant equipment
Manage an accurate inventory of all R&D product samples stored in freezers and cold storage areas.
Manage R&D laboratory housekeeping standards in order to keep the work place neat and tidy
Generate regular and special reports for the line manager that summarize and forecast business activities and escalate critical issues to provide effective recommendations in meeting the key challenges
Maintain 5S standards in the office, work areas and storage areas
Adhere to GMP and always follow the required PPE’s
Observe and follow R&D procedure covering a specific area of R&D activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Food or beverage industry
Minimum 3 years of experience in product development in Food or beverage industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology and allied fields or Chemical Engineering/Technology
