Role Description The Product Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role is responsible for researching market trends and customer preferences, and translating insights into new home décor product concepts. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with design and factories, managing product development timelines, and coordinating prototypes and samples. The Product Developer will maintain detailed product specifications, support quality assurance efforts, and participate in pricing and assortment decisions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Product Development and Product Management skills, including concept creation, lifecycle management, and cross-functional coordination.
- Candidates should possess solid Research and Development (R&D) skills, with the ability to analyze trends, materials, and consumer insights relevant to home décor.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for collaborating with design, sourcing, sales, and external suppliers.
- Candidates should possess relevant technical knowledge; experience in product design, materials, manufacturing processes, or related fields is beneficial.
- Relevant skills and qualifications include proficiency in basic project management tools, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in home décor, consumer products, or a related industry is preferred.
