Role Description
The Product Development Assistant supports the creation and refinement of new slime products from concept to launch. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting our Product Development Lead to help create new products from concept to launch, product brainstorming, helping document and track the product lifecycle, and coordinating sample testing and feedback collection. Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in product development, arts & crafts, cosmetics, food, toys, or another creative manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of color theory, color matching, and color mixing.
- Passion for mixed media, textures, sensory products, and hands-on creative work.
- Creative eye for combining colors, scents, textures, and decorative elements into cohesive products.
- Familiarity with fragrances, essential oils, or scent blending is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately recreate formulas and product samples.
- Highly organized with the ability to track product development, sample revisions, inventory, and project timelines.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and documenting formulas, testing results, and product specifications.
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and procedures while also contributing new creative ideas.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to experiment and iterate on product concepts.
- Able to multitask and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs
- Positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and eagerness to learn from senior team members.
- Background in art, design, product development, industrial design, chemistry, cosmetology, or a related creative field.
Compensation: $21.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
