JOB TYPE:Full-Time, Hybrid. 3 days in required in office weekly. At times required to be in office more than 3 days to meet business demands.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Product Development Associate will work alongside Design and corresponding teams to ensure design vision is obtained for product while meeting calendar deadlines.
The Product Development Associate will be responsible of product from prototype stage to aiding in smooth transition to Production stage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of product from prototype to production stage.
Tech pack management
Product fittings and communication of style updates to cross functioning teams
Showroom sample & PR sample management.
Daily vendor correspondence in regards development and deadlines.
Working collaboratively with cross functioning teams such as Merchandising, Design, Fabric/Trim and Production to ensure product you are managing is accurate.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
2 + years of product development experience.
Working knowledge of the production cycle from concept through completion.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to cross functional teams such as Design, Production, Tech, and Fabric.
Strong communication skills with overseas vendors.
Ability to work collaboratively with design team to ensure creative vision of product is obtained.
Ability to manage workload independently while adhering to tight deadlines.
Apparel construction knowledge.
Familiarity with contemporary fashion aesthetics.
Solution oriented.
Excel proficient.
High attention to detail.
BENEFITS:
$65,000 – $75,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NYC – based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other AO employees.)
