Summary:
The Product Development Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the development process – working cross functionally to ensure a smooth process + execution at all stages from design/development through pre-production stage.
Responsibilities:
DEVELOPMENT

SMS review/Line Review
BOM working sessions
Collection Handover
Attend weekly board review meetings. In preparation for board review meetings partner with other PD team members to gather latest sample ETA information (in house + overseas)
Daily communication with local and overseas vendors
Support PD team with launching protos and sms overseas. Track and receive tests, protos, sms, PR dupes and late adds, Track and communicate daily with vendors overseas to ensure x-fty dates are met.
Partner with Senior Atelier Coordinator and patternmakers throughout the development season to ensure all pattern cards are accurate.
Partner with Design, PD, Tech and Production to esure all pricing tech-packs are finalized accurately. Point person with the factories to answer any BOM questions they might have.
Attend ALL proto fittings and update Development BOM’s accordingly.
BOMS/ STYLE MASTER
Responsible for the creation/maintenance of BOM’s at each stage of the development season (proto, SMS, final BOM) to ensure a smooth development process and a seamless pass-off to production.
Responsible for entering all needed style and BOM information on style master database (Full Circle). Update/maintain as needed.
Create and maintain Trim Library in Full Circle.
Partner with Design and PD team to ensure BOM’s are accurate at each stage of the development process. Responsible for finalizing all BOM’s at the end of the development season and share pricing TP’s with the factories by the given due dates.
Partner with Design and PD team to ensure a smooth Collection Handover to Production.
TRIMS
Responsible for always keeping core and seasonal trim board up to date.
Responsible to gathering all needed TDS to create and maintain seasonal trim binder. Ensure information and standards are accurate for PD to Production Handover.
Support with general trim sourcing/coordination across all categories: woven, knitwear, handbags + accessories.
Assist in counter sourcing trims as needed.
GENERAL
Partner with Design and PD on organizing/assorting old samples for sample sale/recycling.
Support with receiving/sending packages overseas: pin samples, materials + trims as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
3+ year’s experience in an apparel product development or similar role
Experience with BOM creation and maintenance
Extreme attention to detail and maintaining accuracy
Strong organizational skills and an obsession with efficiency
Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Hands on team player and eager to learn and grow withing the organization.
Knowledge and understanding of development process
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Available to work in office 5 days a week
