Sourcing & Production Consultant, Home
About the Role
Petite Plume is seeking a Sourcing & Production Consultant to support the continued growth and development of our expanding Home category. As the Home division continues to evolve, this role will play an integral part in establishing and strengthening our sourcing, development, and production infrastructure across bedding and soft home categories. This role will focus on bedding and seasonal & decorative soft good accessories.
Strong vendor communication skills and a deep understanding of home textile development are essentially. The ideal candidate will be experienced in identifying and managing manufacturing partners, supporting product development, and coordinating production processes from initial sourcing through execution.
Scope of Work:
Vendor & Factory Sourcing
- Source and evaluate domestic and international factories and vendors
- Build and maintain vendor and supplier relationships
- Communicate with factories on pricing, MOQs, lead times, and capacity
- Source fabrics, trims, fillings, and finishing vendors
- Maintain an organized sourcing network
- Identify partners for both sampling and bulk production
Product Development Support
- Coordinate with factories throughout development
- Communicate specs, measurements, trims, and construction details
- Track sample timelines and revisions
- Organize and communicate sample feedback
- Balance design intent with production feasibility and quality
Production Coordination
- Manage vendor communication throughout production timelines
- Review tech packs, specs, and construction details for accuracy
- Support quality control across fabrication, color, and finishing
- Track production updates and corrective actions
- Assist with timeline management and shipment coordination
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Design and external production teams
- Share sourcing updates, development progress, and production risks
- Maintain organized vendor and production records
- Support scalable sourcing and production processes
Qualifications:
- Experience in home textiles, bedding, sourcing, or production coordination
- Strong understanding of bedding construction and production processes
- Experience working directly with factories and vendors
- Ability to review specifications and construction details
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bedding-specific sourcing and production experience
- Background in luxury or premium home categories
