Work Model: Hybrid in the office Tues-Thurs; during peak weeks (one week a season), associate may need to be in 4-5 days a week

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Associate Product Developer is an individual contributor responsible for coordinating the development and execution of product from design intent until production. This role creates and maintains development documents and reports, ensuring timeframes are consistently met across sample tracking, systems maintenance and cross-functional communication. This position may support more than one product category.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Supports development of new products, from design ideation phase through final sample approvals by attending milestone meetings such as tech pack pass-off meetings, Color Blitz, Line Review and Details meeting

• Supports tech pack pass-off at the category level, working with design and regional office to answer development questions

• Initiates proto and all color sample requests with vendors and regional offices

• Tracks all sample readiness for color samples & protos

• Checks samples for accuracy and works with vendor/region on sample accuracy and quality callouts

• Creates and maintains seasonal development trackers

• Manages all BOM’s in Centric PLM

• Communicates with vendor base on any changes to BOM’s or color components throughout development cycle

• Troubleshoots issues in development of the product related to construction, production execution and sample tracking etc.

• Compiles data and reporting to support cross-functional risk assessment and weekly product readiness meetings for product category

WHAT’S NEEDED

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related area, or equivalent experience

• 1-3 years of related experience

• Detail-oriented and organized with consistent follow-through

• Flexible and adaptable to change; team player

• Basic knowledge of Centric PLM preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Experience working with Design and/or Merchandising

• Experience working with overseas suppliers, agents or offices

• Basic knowledge of Accessories development, sourcing & costing preferred
