Position Overview:
The Development Coordinator will report to the Senior Product Developer. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, organized, highly communicative and exceptionally creative. As a member of high performing Design & Development department. You will be involved with our swim, active, and apparel categories (knits & wovens). The role will be supporting the Development department to drive our vision across all aspects of the design process, and ensure aesthetics are reflected through development to production approval.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
· Create fabrication and call out pages for Design tech packs.
· Create all artwork pitch sheets for strike off and lab dips requests across apparel, swimwear and accessories.
· Responsible for providing fabric, artwork, and lab dip comments and approvals.
· Update swim and apparel CADs for the Technical Design and Product Development teams.
· Maintain line sheets with most updated information and communicate any changes to relevant cross functional teams.
· Create style numbers and set up each season in Centric (PLM system).
· Create product knowledge charts for Frankies’ retail team.
· Attend weekly fittings.
· Create & maintain BOMs
· Track all raw materials and trims for development to sample maker, offshore and domestic suppliers for sampling.
· Responsible for shipping and tracking packages for Design, Development and Technical Design.
· Build strong, dynamic, and synergistic relationships with cross-functional partners; Technical Design, Product Development, Merchandising and Production.
· Create and send SMS and Photo sample PO’s to factories.
· Track all SMS and Photo samples PO’s to ensure key milestones are achieved for Wholesale, Ecommerce and Campaign dates.
· Adherence to calendar and all key milestones.
Education/Requirements:
· Minimum 3 years experience in similar role in the women’s contemporary / fashion space. Swim experience a plus.
· Formal degree in Fashion/Design.
· Very high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator a must.
· Highly organized.
· Basic understanding of fabrics, fit and construction across categories.
· Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
· Self-motivated, positive, adaptable, and dependable attitude.
· A team player, you contribute positively to team dynamic, cultivate passion and productivity.
Salary Range:
The base salary range for this position is $27-$32 per hour and is full time. Actual salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, candidate’s related work experience. This position is also eligible for benefits.
