Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with design, sourcing, manufacturing, and merchandising teams to ensure seamless product development processes.
- Oversee textile selection by applying knowledge of textiles in industrial design, color theory, and fabric properties to enhance garment quality and functionality.
- Manage product lifecycle from initial concept through sample development, fittings, revisions, and final production approval.
- Ensure all apparel designs meet technical specifications for sewing machine compatibility, garment construction standards, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Conduct cross-functional communication with sourcing teams on fabric sourcing, colorways, and merchandising strategies to optimize product appeal.
- Stay informed on current fashion trends, industry innovations in graphic design illustration, fashion styling, and theater experience to keep collections fresh and relevant.
- Maintain detailed documentation of design processes, technical specifications, and project timelines using product lifecycle management tools.
- Manage multi-season development calendars and the execution for all tasks related to the Product Development cycle
- Lead processes and IT improvements/solutions to enable seasonal execution
Experience
- Proven experience in fashion design or apparel product development within a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of textiles used in industrial design along with garment construction methods including sewing techniques and sewing machine operation.
- Experience working across functions such as merchandising, sourcing, manufacturing, and marketing to deliver cohesive product lines.
- Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration and presentation of ideas.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
