The role is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
The role ensures that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
PRODUCT DESIGN
Receive brief from Brand Manager hub wise, and prepare a detailed product plan to be shared with the designers. Based on the number of projects, keep BM informed on the timelines required.
Directly liaise with the designers for entire project conceptualization, arranging the renderings/ AI files etc. Designers need to be giving technical feedback to the Product Manager
Review value engineer projects to ensure cost effectiveness, suggest ideas on how to reduce costs and increase the ‘value’ of the product
RESEARCH AND MARKET ANALYSIS
Understanding in details various market, be up to date with the trends in the market and align the product designs with the vision of the brand / product journey
Give qualitative feedback in terms of designs / content / ideas based on market survey to the brand manager, and establish the world of possibilities for the brand
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Proceed with sampling only after approvals from commercial heads (keeping in mind the sampling policy)
Direct interaction with sourcing team Hong Kong / Vendors to arrange / modify / improve samples after the feedback from the sales / brand teams.
Pricing approvals through commercial head to align with the brief.
Product manager is responsible to bring the new collection on the table including renderings / samples, and lead the product presentation from the forefront for all hub meetings and sales meetings.
MISCELLANEOUS
Compile an archive of all designs used / un used within the brand / category, and optimize
Prepare and maintain a bible for the brand, with all historic data and info on best sellers / worst sellers etc. including case library
Ensuring sample availability for International Distributor’s meet / Hub meetings based on sample policy. [Brand Manager + Product Manager]
Knowledge & Experience
5+ years’ experience in watch design/development lifecycle.
Expertise in Trend Research, Consumer Mapping, Storyboarding, Conceptualizing, Prototyping and Material Explorations for the product
