Our client, an apparel & sleepwear manufacturer, is looking for a Product Development Manager to join their team in New York!
4-5 days onsite in NYC!
Responsibilities:
- Manage the PD and production process from initial sourcing through production
- Handle negotiations with overseas vendors while maintaining quality
- Maintain communication with overseas manufacturers
- Develop T&A calendars
- Attend fittings
- Analyze cost breakdowns and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Create sourcing strategies and allocate production across factories
- Oversee launch of new customers and licensed brands
- Lead and mentor PD team
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in apparel or sleepwear
- Bachelors degree required
- Off-price experience is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Knowledge of current trends in fashion
- Domestic and International travel
