Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and creative Product Development Manager to lead the end-to-end development of socks and beanies. This role is responsible for transforming concepts into commercially successful products by collaborating cross-functionally with design, sourcing, merchandising, and production teams. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of knit accessories, material innovation, and global manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Execution

  • Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through production for socks and beanies
  • Partner with design teams to translate creative concepts into technical specifications
  • Develop seasonal product assortments aligned with brand strategy and market trends
  • Ensure product quality, fit, performance, and cost targets are met
  • Oversee sample development, fittings, and wear testing
  • Approve prototypes and production samples
  • Ensure all products meet company standards and regulatory requirements

Vendor Management

  • Maintain relationships with domestic and international factories

Materials & Innovation

  • Research and source yarns, fabrics, trims, and sustainable materials
  • Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and innovations in knitwear
  • Drive and expand on our existing development of performance features (e.g., moisture-wicking, thermal insulation)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with design to align product with consumer demand
  • Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery
  • Communicate development timelines, risks, and updates to stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or related field
  • 4–7+ years of experience in product development, preferably in accessories or knitwear
  • Strong knowledge of sock and beanie construction, yarns, and knitting techniques
  • Experience working with overseas manufacturers and supply chains
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Proficiency in PLM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance or technical knit products
