Reporting to the Director of Maintenance Operations, the Production and Material Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring products and materials through the complete production cycle at the GA Telesis engine facility in Wilmington, Ohio. This position oversees a mixture of products and materials, providing accurate commitment dates to the customer service team and working alongside other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage and observe the production schedule.
Manage and plan out workscopes to meet production dates
Negotiate price, method of payment, method of shipment and proof of certification/traceability of goods.
Interact with the Director of Maintenance Operations to ensure parts are available in a timely fashion.
Coordinate with operations and materials management to manage any special requirements.
Ensure proper specifications are listed on the purchase/repair orders.
Notify the team of short lead-times and /or partial deliveries of materials or out-sourced service to ensure the time of delivery is met.
Notify the customer if a delay is met that will deter or extend the time of delivery.
Expediting movement of parts between vendors, stockroom and production.
Preparing part estimates and providing quotes to the production department.
Qualifications:
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification (required).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft engine maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of workflow and planning of engine inductions as well as planning and procuring materials.
Familiarity with OEM manuals, regulatory standards (e.g., FAA Part 145), and MRO operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
In-depth knowledge of technical documentation, Microsoft suite of software as well as computer-based maintenance systems.
