About Us:
Sweet Apparel, a rapidly growing and innovative Fashion Design company, located in the heart of the garment district, is seeking a highly motivated Production Assistant to join our creative team. The Production Assistant will play a key role in supporting our design and production teams in managing the day-to-day operations involved in bringing apparel collections from concept to finished product. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, has great communication and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate with designers and production managers to keep track of bulk production.
· Be the liaison between the designers, factories, and buyers to ensure all comments are communicated correctly and thoroughly.
· Track and manage garment samples, fabrics, trims, and materials, including receiving, organizing, logging, sourcing and distributing samples.
· Maintain accurate records in PLM systems, Excel spreadsheets, and internal databases.
· Help ensure quality standards and production deadlines are consistently met.
· Assist in the preparation of presentations and materials for client meetings and internal reviews.
· Conduct research on trending materials, color, prints, and silhouettes to enhance the design process and inspire creative solutions.
· Contribute fresh and innovative ideas to seasonal collections, ensuring alignment with company branding and objectives.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, or a related field preferred.
· 1-2 years of experience in the fashion industry.
· Knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and apparel manufacturing processes.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
· Experience with PLM systems is a plus
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
