Job Summary
The Production Assistant is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production department, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality workmanship, and timely completion of garments. This role supervises the tailoring team, coordinates production schedules, manages fabric inventory, and liaises with suppliers to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise, lead, and support the tailoring team to ensure productivity and quality standards are consistently met.
* Plan, assign, and coordinate daily production tasks according to production schedules and delivery deadlines.
* Monitor the progress of garments throughout the production process and resolve workflow issues promptly.
* Inspect finished garments and work in progress to ensure they meet company quality standards and specifications.
* Maintain accurate inventory of fabrics and production materials, ensuring stock levels are sufficient for ongoing production.
* Coordinate fabric purchasing by communicating with suppliers, requesting quotations, placing orders, and following up on deliveries.
* Work closely with the design, pattern-making, and production teams to ensure smooth execution of collections and custom orders.
* Identify production issues and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
* Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient production environment.
* Prepare production reports, monitor performance, and communicate progress to management.
* Train, mentor, and evaluate tailoring staff to support continuous improvement and skill development and resolve internal miscommunication between tailors.
* Drive to suppliers, the showroom, and the production house for sourcing, coordination, and operational follow-up.
Qualifications
* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Textile Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
* Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in garment production, tailoring, or fashion manufacturing.
* Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
* knowledge of garment construction, tailoring techniques, and production processes.
* Experience with inventory management and supplier coordination.
* Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities and meeting production deadlines.
