Role Description The Production Coordinator is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Stourbridge – West Midlands, United Kingdom, with flexibility for some work from home. In this role, the coordinator will support end-to-end product lifecycle management, from initial design handover through to bulk production, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and client specifications are met. Day-to-day tasks include organizing production schedules, tracking orders, maintaining accurate documentation, and liaising with internal teams and partner factories in the UK, China, and India. The role also involves coordinating samples, managing approvals, monitoring critical paths, and proactively resolving production issues. The Production Coordinator will collaborate closely with design, sales, and logistics to keep stakeholders informed and ensure smooth delivery to online retail clients.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Experience in production planning and production management, with the ability to manage timelines, capacity, and quality standards across multiple product lines.
- Project management capabilities, including coordinating cross-functional tasks, tracking progress, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organization skills, with attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining accurate records, spreadsheets, and production reports.
- Background in fashion, apparel, or textile production is highly beneficial; prior experience working with overseas factories is an advantage.
- Comfort with hybrid working arrangements, using digital tools for remote collaboration, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, project management tools); knowledge of PLM or ERP systems is a plus.
- Relevant education or training in fashion production, supply chain, or a related field is preferred but not strictly required.
