Production & Development Manager – Fashion Jobs in Bell, CA at BJD INC
BJD Inc. seeks a Los Angeles based Apparel Production/Development Manager.
The ideal candidate should be able to closely work with our Design Team and Overseas Suppliers from design idea conception to production shipping. He/She must be able to demonstrate strong organization skills, be a quick learner, and be willing to adjust on the fly to a flexible T&A calendar.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with suppliers to source fabrications selected by the Design team that meet the price point designated by management.
- Stay up to date on various constructions, print techniques, and fabric Processes.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of Lab Dips, Strikeoffs, Proto samples, Trim, and PP/TOP samples.
- Communicate comments for all submits directly to suppliers.
- Keep an internal T&A calendar with overseas suppliers to lock in a production schedule.
- Ensure production received is in the approved quality
- Ensure the timely receipt of bulk production
- Inspect all bulk production upon receipt for quality
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- A basic understanding of Denim, Knit and/or Woven Construction and Techniques.
- Strong organization skills and the ability to adapt on the fly.
- Strong communication skills and a team first mentality.
- Experience working with suppliers out of China, Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
