Eric Winterling, Inc. is seeking an experienced, highly organized Production Manager.
This position serves as the primary link between designers, drapers, vendors, and management, ensuring that materials are sourced, purchased, and delivered on time while keeping multiple productions organized and moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the purchasing of fabrics, trims, notions, and specialty materials for multiple productions.
- Source materials throughout the NYC Garment District and through domestic and international vendors.
- Work closely with the Founder/CEO, Managing Director, Workroom Supervisor, and production teams to communicate project priorities and deadlines.
- Coordinate with drapers and workroom teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Track and code project-related expenses.
- Create and maintain organized project documentation and show bibles.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fabric, trim, and specialty vendors.
- Attend design meetings and fittings as needed to assist with sourcing and fabric selections.
- Assist with other production coordination duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in theatrical costume production, apparel production, fashion, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the NYC Garment District and fabric sourcing is required.
- Working knowledge of fabrics, trims, notions, and garment construction.
- Excellent organizational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math, budgeting, and expense-tracking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Professional, dependable, and a collaborative team player.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in professional theatre, opera, dance, television, or film costume production.
- Familiarity with costume history and period clothing.
- Established relationships with NYC fabric and trim vendors.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Midtown Manhattan costume studio.
Compensation
- $28.00–$30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
