Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Production Merchandiser to manage end-to-end order execution for kids’ apparel. The role involves coordinating with vendors, sourcing teams, factories, quality, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely production, quality compliance, and cost optimization while meeting delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete production cycle from order confirmation to final shipment.
- Prepare and monitor Time & Action (T&A) calendars for all production milestones.
- Coordinate with design, sourcing, sampling, quality, and production teams for smooth order execution.
- Follow up on fabric, trims, accessories, and sample approvals.
- Liaise with vendors and factories to ensure adherence to production schedules.
- Track production status and resolve issues related to materials, capacity, quality, or delays.
- Negotiate costing with vendors while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor WIP (Work-in-Progress) and ensure timely deliveries.
- Coordinate PP (Pre-Production) meetings and ensure all approvals are in place before bulk production.
- Review and maintain production documentation, purchase orders, BOMs, costing sheets, and shipment records.
- Work closely with QA teams to ensure products meet company and buyer quality standards.
- Support new vendor development and evaluate supplier performance.
- Generate MIS reports on production status, delays, costs, and deliveries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, Textile Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of experience in production merchandising within the apparel industry (kidswear experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, printing, embroidery, and washing processes.
- Experience in vendor management and production planning.
- Good knowledge of costing, BOM preparation, and production documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple styles and vendors simultaneously.
