The Professional, Color Innovation will focus on Apparel and Accessories but will also have opportunities to touch all parts of the brand and have access to the latest technologies and innovations. This role requires a color specialist working with many stakeholders to ensure accurate and on-time color execution. Your Impact
Own color review process and procedure for all lab dip, print and bulk lot submits received at the Under Armour World Headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, UA
Majority of submissions will be novelty and non-measurable items (heathers, jacquards, etc.)
Review and assessment of all virtual and physical submits within 48 hour SLA
Timely and accurate status update entry into color enterprise system
Tracking of outstanding and overdue items
Alignment of multi-sourced components
Communication with internal and external stakeholders for any color review questions, issues, colorfastness challenged, etc.
Support supplier scorecard analysis and deploy corrective action as needed based on color submit data
Train internal and external partners including fabric mills, trim suppliers and UA teammates on color process
Maintain color submit library including physical and digital files
Other duties as needed
Qualifications
Color vision score (FM100) of superior color discrimination required
Digital FM100 test will be administered during interview process
Physical FM100 testing will be required upon hire
Physical FM100 testing will be continued every 6 months
Knowledge of technical color science and management including lab dip and bulk lot process; color measurement, color review and communication
Knowledge of product lifecycle, basic garment construction, trim components, material constructions, fiber types, fabric finishes, etc.
Comfortable using enterprise software systems such as PLM and Microsoft Office
Comfortable using and maintaining color technologies including spectrophotometers, color measurement software, and lightboxes
Familiarity with natific Color Accreditation Program a huge plus
Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills; comfortable working both with a group and independently
Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks and to successfully meet multiple deadlines
