We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and an eye for detail, ensuring that every garment meets our high standards of quality and fit. As a Tailor, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service while executing alterations and repairs on various types of clothing.
Responsibilities
- Perform alterations, repairs, and custom fittings on garments to ensure the perfect fit for customers.
- Consult with clients to discuss their specific tailoring needs and preferences.
- Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to complete alterations efficiently.
- Measure clients accurately to determine the necessary adjustments for garments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.
- Keep up-to-date with current fashion trends and garment construction techniques to provide informed recommendations to clients.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues related to tailoring services.
Experience
- Proven experience in tailoring or garment alteration is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and fabric types.
- Proficiency in using sewing machines as well as hand-sewing skills.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Previous experience in fashion retail or customer service is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
