Role Description The Purchaser Factory role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The Purchaser will manage sourcing and purchasing of materials, trims, and accessories required for garment production, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. Daily tasks include evaluating and negotiating with suppliers, preparing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating closely with production, planning, and quality teams to meet order requirements. The role also involves tracking delivery schedules, resolving supply issues, maintaining accurate procurement records, and supporting sustainability initiatives in the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong procurement and supply chain skills, including vendor sourcing, price negotiation, and purchase order management.
- Candidates should possess skills in inventory and materials management, including demand planning, stock monitoring, and coordination with production teams.
- Candidates should possess analytical and organizational skills, such as data analysis, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
- Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills, including clear written and verbal communication and effective teamwork with cross-functional departments.
- Relevant experience in garment manufacturing or apparel production purchasing is highly beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Working knowledge of procurement software or ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) is advantageous.
- Understanding of sustainable sourcing practices and interest in environmental and social responsibility within the garment sector is a strong plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Ho Chi Minh City and communicate effectively in English and Vietnamese is beneficial.
