Required Experience:
4-5+ Year Purchasing Experience in any industry
Communicating with International Vendors/ Manufacturers and sourcing products to purchase. Experience negotiating pricing, vendor contracts etc.
Proficient with Excel
Experience with ERP and inventory systems
Attention to detail
Pluses:
Experience within Consumers Goods
Experience sourcing/purchasing in the utility industry
Bachelors Degree
Overall Responsibilities:
Insight Global is seeking a purchasing coordinator for a third-generation fashion design, manufacturing and sourcing company headquartered in the U.S. in Sunrise, Florida with over 50 years of experience. This company is a growing business that works with the leading retailers and direct to consumer websites to manufacture accessories for private labels. We are looking for a purchasing coordinator who can assist with purchasing the company’s products from manufacturing partners around the world.
Responsibilities for Purchasing Coordinator:
Purchase jewelry and packaging for jewelry from the Company’s designated suppliers globally. Issue purchase orders, confirm P.I.’s and shipping details.
Confirm costing based on changing silver and labor markets.
Check products for damages and work with the Company’s executive team to issue chargebacks and RTVs.
Negotiate consolidated freight shipments with freight forwarders.
Organize consolidated shipments from various factories to ship together in the most efficient manner.
