Job Description:-

We are looking for a Purchase Manager for our client place based at Gurgaon, Haryana. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and fostering a relationship with our suppliers and vendors. You will also oversee the implementation of the supply and production strategies.

As a Head of Purchasing, you’re responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies, managing the purchasing team, ensuring optimal supplier performance, and negotiating favorable deals to achieve cost savings and mitigate supply chain risks.

Roles & Responsibilities:-

Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers.

Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contracts.

Analyze and manage procurement costs.

Implement cost-effective purchasing strategies.

Track metrics to reduce expenses.

Manage and mentor a team of purchasing professionals.

Assign roles and responsibilities.

Provide leadership and guidance to the team.

Review and process purchase orders.

Maintain records of goods ordered and received.

Ensure quality of procured items and address problems when they arise.

Manage inventory levels and forecast future needs.

Work closely with other departments to forecast demand for goods and services.

Coordinate with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.

Keep up with trends in procurement and purchasing technology.

Oversee the purchase and implementation of new technologies, as necessary.

Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.

Forecast market trends and identify potential risks and opportunities.

Ensure the function is operating in line with the objectives of the business to add value, mitigate supply chain risk and deliver cost savings.

Other Skills & Qualifications:-

Strong negotiation skills

Required 8 – 12 years’ of purchasing experience specially from Automotive background.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Would be Team Handling player
