Mode Search is currently partnered with a globally recognised footwear and lifestyle brand with a strong heritage and an established retail footprint across Europe. Known for its distinctive identity and values-led culture.

As part of this journey, they are looking to appoint a Retail Regional Manager to lead and develop their store portfolio across South Germany and Austria.

This is a highly visible, field-based leadership role, responsible for driving commercial performance, operational excellence and people development across a multi-site retail region. You will report directly to the EMEA Retail Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive operational excellence, ensuring brand standards, compliance and retail best practice across all locations
  • Oversee full-price stores and outlet locations across South Germany and Austria
  • Lead, coach and develop Store Managers, embedding a high-performance culture aligned with brand values
  • Own regional commercial performance including P&L, payroll, budgets and stock control
  • Act as a strategic partner to Store Managers, supporting trading, forecasting and customer experience improvement
  • Champion succession planning, talent development and engagement across the region
  • Collaborate closely with Head Office teams across marketing, VM, merchandising, finance and supply chain
  • Act as the key communication link between stores and the EMEA leadership team, sharing insight, performance updates and feedback
  • Support new store initiatives, local activations and continuous improvement projects across the region

Requirements

  • Proven experience in regional or country retail management, overseeing 10+ stores over a sustained period
  • Background within commercial fashion, lifestyle or apparel brands
  • Strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience managing turnover, profitability and store performance
  • Confident people leader with a track record of developing Store Managers and building high-performing teams
  • Comfortable operating in a field-based role, with flexibility to travel weekly across South Germany and Austria
  • Analytical and strategic mindset, with the ability to translate data into clear actions
  • Strong communicator, able to influence at all levels and operate effectively within a matrix organisation

  • Bonus: 25% performance-based bonus (paid annually in April)

  • Travel: All car and plane travel fully expensed (no car allowance)
  • Working pattern: Tuesday–Friday field-based in stores, Monday remote (home or store office)
