Salary Range: $68-75K

POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for reordering of merchandise based on forecasts and rate of sale as well as managing the flow of existing purchase orders.

Supports the buyer through communication of any / all actions that affect product, product flow and vendor issues.

Executes tasks as assigned by the Buying Office to include purchase order creation, purchase order follow up, product assortment tasks and communication with internal and external parties as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Assumes responsibility for all functions related to Re-Order Buying

Analyzes rate of sale / attachment rates for products within categories assigned.

Processes purchase orders to meet appropriate inventory levels.

Reviews rate of sale to determine revisions necessary for changes in ship dates.

Communicates vendor / product related issues with buyer, logistics, stores and vendor as necessary.

Collaborate with buyer to discuss vendor related changes and issues.

Communicate any necessary purchase order quantity or ship date revisions to vendors.

Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective business relations with vendor partners.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with buying department, logistics and all related departments. Works in tandem with the Accounting Department to resolve any purchase order and invoice discrepancies.

Assumes responsibility for related duties as required to include administrative tasks. Performs special projects such as required.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

Work is neat and accurate while meeting all deadlines.

Effective communication and coordination exists with area personnel and with management. Assistance is provided as needed. Management is appropriately informed of product flow issues.

Maintain In stock percentage.

Inquiries are courteously attended to. Good business relations exist with internal and external customers and vendor partners.

Documents and reports are accurately produced and up-to-date. Files are well maintained.

A professional image is projected and maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification-High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree desirable or equivalent experience.

Required Knowledge- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of the internet and other web-based tools. Knowledge of reordering and flow of merchandise to include order processing. Knowledge of customer behaviors and preferences.

Experience Required: 4+ years’ replenishment experience.

Ability to interpret industry data.

Basic arithmetic operations on a regular basic.
